Ways to Worship with Parkview

“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.”
Isaiah 40:1

Dear Parkview Community,

Rola, Veronica, and I want to worship with you in the way you deem best during the coronavirus pandemic. We hope to connect with you . . .

In Person:

  • Sunday, Mar 15, 10 am at Parkview
  • Please enter and exit the church through the front door.
  • Sit in the pews without the blue tape. Sit where the programs have been placed. Avoid touching the tops of the pews; they have been sanitized.
  • Families may sit together. Extra bulletins are on the front table. Hymnals have been removed from the pews, but we will still sing.
  • Holy communion will be celebrated symbolically.
  • Sunday school, youth group, and coffee hour have been cancelled.

From Home:

  • We will be streaming the service via Facebook Live. Click here to join/read our Facebook page.
  • Click here to view the sermon on our website. Please allow a few hours for the Mar 15 video to be uploaded. Many thanks to Jonathan S. for videotaping our sermons.

Other Connections:

  • Peruse this website. Here you will find our sermons, daily devotionals, the church newsletter, and more. We update the website more frequently than we send out letters, so check the website for daily updates.
  • The pastoral staff is working with the Parkview Presbyterian Women to check in with any of you who would like a phone call, text, letter, or email. Please email officemanager@parkviewpc.org, if you would like to make contact. Your email will be forwarded to the correct person.
  • We are currently not making any physical visitations per health department recommendations, but please let us know if you need any help with deliveries of groceries, medicine, etc.

We will navigate this pandemic together. Click here to watch what Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg says about faith communities. Finally, please remember ” . . . that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst.” (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Sending you all love and prayers,
Pastor Pamela
