“Do not worry about tomorrow.”
Matthew: 6:33
I love flowers. There is just something about them that makes me happy. I love the vibrant colors and delicate intricacies of the way they are formed. It reminds me of Jesus’ words from the Sermon on the Mount.
See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:28-31 & 33-34
I love this scripture about not worrying about tomorrow. It reminds me to concentrate on today, to focus upon the now, to look for God’s beauty in the intricacies of flowers, and be reminded that I am surrounded by God’s caring presence. I took the photo of the lily above from my backyard.
