Easiest Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

3 cups flour
½ tsp yeast
½ tsp salt
½ tsp sugar
1½ cups water ( room temperature)

Directions:
  • Mix ingredients together.
  • Cover and let sit out overnight 12 -18 hours to rise.
  • Fold dough into a ball.
  • Let rise 30-45 min.
  • Meanwhile heat Dutch oven with lid on in oven at 450°.
  • Score dough and dust with flour.
  • Set dough on parchment paper and place into hot Dutch oven.
  • Bake with lid on for 30 minutes.
  • Bake an additional 5-10 min. with lid off until bread is brown.
Notes:
  • If you want to bake the bread on the same day, just use a little more than warm water instead (but not hot) and let rise until double in size. 
  • For sourdough bread, I substitute ¼ cup starter for part of the water and reduce the yeast to ¼ tsp.
  • Add a bit more salt, if desired. This is a low-sodium recipe.
