A dear friend of mine, Jonathan Welch, passed the auditions for Australia’s television version of “The Voice.”  He sang, “This Is the Moment” by Anthony Warlow. The words are very powerful.  Here are some of the lyrics.

I won’t look down.
I must not fall.
Moment for moment.
This is the moment.
Our greatest moment of them all!

This is a powerful moment for Jonathan because he is 61 years old competing against a bunch of twenty-year-olds.  He used to be the creative director of “The Choir of Hard Knocks” in Melbourne which was a group composed of homeless and disadvantaged people.  He stepped down as the director last year, and he wanted a challenge . . . and he got it!  Jonathan is an inspiration to us all because it says that no matter how old you are, you can still go after your dreams!  As the scripture says, “. . . your daughters shall prophesy and your old men will dream dreams.” (Joel 2:18)  Let us be bold.  As Jonathan says, “I am doing this for the Boomers.”  #GoBoomers!
