We are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses…

Hebrews 12:1

I come from a family of pilots and this is a really touching story.  A little boy who has cancer chose to have his “Make a Wish” for a family vacation in Hawaii (watch the video). As the pilot was making the pre-flight announcements, he introduced the little boy and what an honor it was to be the pilot for him and his family on that day.  The pilot went on to say that this was a special trip because the little boy’s uncle was going to be his co-pilot that day and that he had never flown with him before.  The pilot went on to say that this was a very special trip because the little boy was his son.  Everyone in the cabin started applauding and you could see/feel the powerful impact it had on everyone’s hearts.  This was one special flight and they knew what an honor it was to be on this plane, at this time, at this place.  Life is like that.  Sometimes there are moments, just snippets that can flash by so fast but are so powerful and significant, that we just need to make an announcement and let everyone and our “great cloud of witnesses” know that this is a holy moment.
