Eirene
I am bereft of the ability to be a maker of Peace
For the inexplicabilities within the realm of the unforeseen
Incarceration has broke me
shattered my family who disowned me
drowned me in guilt
I use the very word’s David spoke in his distress
“My dishonesty within myself because of my unconfessed sins
caused my life to be filled with
frustrations, irrepressible anguish and misery
The pain never gave way
For your hand O Lord of connection was heavy on my heart
My strength was sapped, my inner life dried up like a spiritual drought within my soul
For Jesus said to let him restore the
brokenness of our family for restoration
redeems the wounded soul
God is Peace, The Prince of Peace
by God’s will and God’s way
I need to let go and let God, although
I feel I must be the barer of this burden
Yet, I must leave it to God to be at Peace with these walls
To have shalom within myself and
heal my wounded soul
and accept Incarceration broke me
So that Eirene could save me
For Jesus Said “Just Come with me”
