“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.”
2 Corinthians 4:16
As we still try to make sense of this crazy week full of pain and confusion with a failed coup on our nation’s Capitol, may look to the future as we heal our wounds. As people of faith, may we live into the hope of resurrection and a new day. I love these words by Pope John XXIII:
“Consult not your fears, but your hopes and your dreams.
Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential.
Concern not yourself with what you tried and failed in, but what it is still possible to do.
Now is the time to put aside past and present setbacks and failures and look with confidence to the new day called tomorrow.”
