“God heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”
Psalm 147:3
One of my favorite forms of Japanese art is Kintsugi. Kintsugi is a beautiful art form that will take the broken pieces of a vase or a dish or bowl and rather than throw it out, transform it into something more beautiful. Kintsugi will mold the broken pieces back together not with glue, but with molten gold. The gold not only makes the once broken object more beautiful, but stronger in the areas where it was once broken. Where do we need to be the Kintsugi masters of our soul? Where do we need to find healing in our broken places? Where is it that we can find beauty in our scars? Where is it that we can celebrate our past pains that have now become our present beauty? My dear friends, find the gold you need to help mend your wounds.
