Parkview Church stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine as they fight to protect their citizens and country from the Russian invasion. We pray to God for their protection and for deliverance from all the terrors of war. We pray for every Ukrainian who is worried about surviving these attacks; for loved ones far away who are filled with anxiety and fear; for those who will not survive this invasion; for those who will survive and be forever changed by the trauma of war. We join with those all around the world calling for an end to the airstrikes, the killing, the destruction. We pray for the miracle of God’s love to change the heart of Russian President Putin as he orders troops and tanks into a sovereign nation. We pray to turn back the Russian military involved in long-range shelling of peaceful cities and land occupation. May Ukraine be restored to safety and stability soon.
Loving Lord Jesus, in this holy season of Lent, may we all look inward and repent of the ways we neglect to bring peace to our homes and workplaces, to our churches and our neighborhoods, to our country and our world. As we turn to You, prepare our hearts to receive Your gifts of strength, love, and wisdom. Make us willing to confront abuses of power, to pray for Your Kingdom to come to earth in ever-increasing measure, and walk in Your way of peace.
In Christ,
