You are cordially invited to Parkview for a half-hour benefit concert in support of Ukraine. The concert features Mr. Igor Veligan on violin. He will be accompanied on piano by Mrs. Mira Veligan.
Mr. Veligan is a faculty member of the Conservatory of Music in violin, viola, and Chamber Music at UOP. He performs extensively as a soloist and a chamber musician. As an orchestra performer, he serves as concertmaster of the Pacific Chamber Symphony. He has served as a guest concertmaster of the Sacramento Philharmonic and principal violinist with the Reno Philharmonic.
Christians born and raised in Ukraine, Mr.and Mrs. Veligan hold their country and people so dear to their hearts during this critical time, especially Mr. Veligan’s brother, who is fighting in the war. The proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Ukrainian Heritage Club of Northern California, where Mrs. Veligan has been a member for 25 years. The money will be used for wounded soldiers and civilians. It will also go to elderly people who cannot evacuate the country.
Please note the following:
- Masks are required.
- Allow extra time to park on the streets. The parking lot across the street from the church is now closed.
- Download and print the concert flyer below. Please invite your friends!
- You can donate in person at the concert. Please make checks payable to Parkview Presbyterian Church and write “UKRAINE” in the memo.
- You can also donate online. Click on the “Support Parkview” tab at the top of the page. Write “Ukraine” in the notes.
