The Mariners and friends, led by Gary and Diane Younglove, toured the Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley on September 19, 2024. The Empire Mine is on the National Register of historic places. It is the largest, richest, and longest operational gold mine in California. Educational tour, fun, fellowship, and lunch were the highlights of the day. All Parkview family and friends are welcome to join the Mariners on future day trips. Many thanks to Bill Nagata and Jonathan Sakakibara for the photos.
