Parkview’s third annual Thanksgiving Showtime was fabulous! Legendary emcee Jonathan energetically introduced our talent show performers. Pianists of varied ages brought delightful music to our sanctuary. Photographs by Parkview’s Photo Club members and a skillful artist’s quilted crafts were thrilling to behold. We marveled at the athleticism of a young gymnast and a taekwondo student, and laughed along with a crowd-pleasing stand-up comic. A mother-daughter duo offered a lovely duet accompanied by a tuneful ukulele, and Parkview’s own choir and Sakura Chorus sang songs that were music to our ears. We worked up an appetite for our Thanksgiving coffee time with a fun Japanese dance.
Once again, we knew without a doubt that Parkview’s Got Talent! And Generosity! Our Thanksgiving Showtime offering total was $1791. Thanks so much to all the performers who entertained and enlightened us with their terrific talents. After the show we enjoyed an amazing array of tasty lunch dishes and homemade desserts prepared with love. Many thanks to our hosts Haruko, Christine, and Carla, and to all who brought food to share, and those who helped with set-up, decorations, and clean-up. Thanks to everyone who so generously donated their time, talents, and dollars to make Parkview’s third Thanksgiving Showtime fundraiser a great success! Many thanks to Maurine Huang for the photos.
