On July 6, 2025, parishioners gathered after worship to craft letters to their senators and members of congress in support of the people of Palestine. They were also supplied with email templates to send awareness letters to their friends and family. You, too, can write emails and letters of support for humanitarian aid for Palestine. You should write what you would like to say and in your style, but this sample might help you formulate your thoughts. This sample is based on the fact that this particular representative says he is a Christian and is married to a pastor.
Short Version:
Dear Representative ________________,
I am appalled by the inhumane treatment being received by the people living in Gaza, many of them children. I am urging you, as my representative, to help pass House Resolution 473, which calls for the urgent delivery and disbursement of humanitarian aid to the starving people of that region.
Additionally, please call for returning the management of humanitarian aid to the United Nations. Remove the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” who is acting as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and whose workers are killing people who are simply trying to feed their starving families.
Thank you,

Long Version:
Dear Representative _______________,
My name is ______________, I am a Christian, and I live your district.
I would like you to use your position to work with the administration to convince Israel to allow full, unrestricted humanitarian aid access into Gaza and to return the operation of aid distribution to experienced and neutral international aid agencies such as the UN’s World Food Program. The militarized Gaza “Humanitarian” Foundation (GHF) should be ousted immediately.
Of the over 2 million people in Gaza, 50% of them are children under the age of 14. International law prohibits collective punishment of a community for the acts of individuals. Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid not only breaks this human law, but is immoral and is the opposite of Jesus’ teachings. After 12 weeks of a total blockade, Israel let in an inadequate trickle of food, but gave the delivery operation to GHF, whose soldiers and mercenaries shoot their rifles, drones, and tanks at unarmed people seeking food at the aid sites. GHF is killing people every day! And people are dying from the effects of malnutrition and starvation – babies, children, Christians.
Please help pass House Resolution 473, which calls for the urgent delivery and disbursement of humanitarian aid to address the needs of civilians in Gaza. Additionally, please add a call for the return of the oversight and management of humanitarian aid to the United Nations’ relief aid agency and for the removal of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
Thank you,

Your can personalize your hello, starting with how you are feeling. This sample email may be long, so you might want to shorten it, depending on what you want to communicate.
Dear _____ ,
Today I am reaching out to you about a manmade crisis that is breaking my heart, and that I feel I must try to do something to make it right. I am asking my friends and family to read the below and to write to your U.S. congressperson and senators. Please urge them to use their powers and work with the Trump administration to convince Israel to lift the blockade of food and humanitarian aid into Gaza and allow full, unrestricted humanitarian access. The newly-formed, militarized Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) should be immediately replaced by experienced and neutral international aid agencies such as the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
Over 2 million people live in Gaza; 50% of them are children under the age of 14. International law prohibits collective punishment of a community for the acts of individuals. However, Israel blocked humanitarian aid (food, water, etc.) from entering Gaza in March 2025. Israel’s leaders claimed that Hamas terrorists were diverting some of the aid, but they never showed any evidence. The United Nations relief agencies monitored the distribution of aid very carefully and say the accusation is false. Starting in late May, a tiny trickle of aid was allowed in, but the delivery was given to the GHF, which is staffed by soldiers, mercenaries, and former intelligence operatives. Under the UN experienced guidance, 400 aid sites in various areas of Gaza had served food. GHF has opened only four sites, all in southern Gaza, which turns away the majority of families seeking food and water. Furthermore, the Israeli soldiers and mercenaries at these sites fire their rifles, drones, and tanks at unarmed people arriving to seek food, killing numbers of them every day.
In a news release dated May 12, 2025, the World Health Organization said, “Since the aid blockade began on March 2, 57 children have died from the effects of malnutrition. This number is likely an underestimate . . . . If the situation persists, nearly 71,000 children under the age of five are expected to be acutely malnourished over the next eleven months.” Days later on May 16, the UN’s World Food Program said there were at least 14,000 children in Gaza who were already severely malnourished. Again, international law prohibits collective punishment of a community for the acts of individuals.
House Resolution 473, which calls for the urgent delivery and disbursement of humanitarian aid to address the needs of civilians in Gaza, was submitted and referred to the Foreign Affairs committee. Please find addresses at http://www.house.gov to write your congressperson (and Foreign Affairs Middle East and North African Subcommittee members). Please urge them to not only pass this resolution but to also call for the return of the oversight and management of humanitarian aid to the United Nations’ relief aid agency and for the removal of GHF.
Thank you,
