This year on July 4th, Americans marked the 249th anniversary of our independence. With daily governmental threats on our democracy, and harmful actions against immigrants, we thought it was a great time to bring back the church July 4th party this year. We wanted to celebrate America and the freedoms we enjoy, freedoms and civic values we must now fight for on behalf of ourselves and others. Special thanks to Judy Fukuman for organizing Parkview’s July 4th party this year, and to everyone who helped out to make it a terrific success. Thanks, too, to Judy and Maurine Huang for the photos.
