Parkview Presbyterian Church is hosting a screening of the film “Israelism” for people to gain a better understanding of differing Jewish views of Palestine and the dangerous falsity of equating criticism of the Israeli government and Zionism to “antisemitism.” Parkview Presbyterian hopes that people will then consider taking actions to push for an end to the United States’ use of our taxes to send weapons and equipment that further Israel’s killings of Palestinians and seizures of Palestinian homes and lands. The situation in Gaza is dire. Vocal opposition to the genocide and colonization needs to be increased quickly to stop the engineered mass starvation. Please distribute the flyer below to your friends and groups and encourage them to attend. The film is appropriate for all ages, though may not interest younger children. The film is one hour 20 minutes long, after which members from Jewish Voice for Peace Sacramento will answer audience questions. A light lunch will be served after service to congregants who attended service and are staying to watch “Israelism.” Click here to read the public statement on Palestine by Pastor Sarah and the governing Session.
