Previous Residents
Veronica Gould served Parkview September 2018 – June 2021. She graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2018 with a Master of Divinity and a Concentration in Lutheran Studies. Veronica is a candidate for the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). She is a lifelong Lutheran with a deep love for ecumenics and interfaith work, seeking to bring people together for authentic conversations about faith, justice, and hope. She enjoys helping people of all ages grow in the journey of faith. Veronica is currently studying for a Certificate in Advanced Theological Studies at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. In 2019, she completed one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at UC Davis Health. Veronica is looking forward to serving in ministry at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, beginning in the fall of 2021.
Rev. Rola Al Ashkarserved Parkview January 2018-December 2020. She graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2016 with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies focused on Biblical Studies and Preaching. She also has a Diploma in Theological Studies from the Near East School of Theology, the main reformed seminary in her native country of Lebanon. Rola was ordained in the PC(USA) in April 2021. She has served on national mission teams including Vital Congregations and the Presbyterian Mission Agency. Rola is the founder of ἴama yoga, a new worshiping community in the PC(USA), and she serves as the Ministry Assistant for Outreach and Christian Education at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sacramento.
Rev.Chelsea Page served Parkview August 2017 – August 2018. Originally from San Jose, she graduated from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley and was ordained in the United Church of Christ in October 2019. Chelsea’s many accomplishments at Parkview include her coordination of the Sunday School program, outreach to the Southside Park neighborhood (including the care of the very young cherry trees), and pastoral care. She also completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education to be a hospital chaplain at Sutter Roseville Medical Center and UC Davis Medical Center, volunteering 800 hours to help those in crisis. Chelsea and her husband, Marcus Collonge, welcomed their first child, daughter Lyra, on June 7, 2021.
Chakrita Tambunan served Parkview in 2016. She and her husband currently live in Cambridge, UK. Chakrita is a doctoral candidate at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the New Testament. Prior to her studies at Cambridge she graduated with a Master of Divinity from Acadia Divinity college (in Canada) in 2013, and she finished her Master of Sacred Theology in New Testament from Yale Divinity School in 2016. In between her time at Yale and Acadia, she taught several courses at a new Seminary in North Sumatera, Indonesia. After graduating from Yale, she took the opportunity to gain unique ministry experience as a multicultural resident at Parkview Presbyterian Church in Sacramento for six months. Chakrita is planning to continue her passion both in the academic world as a biblical scholar and for ministry. She has founded a movement called the Indonesian Christian Women for Biblical Studies (ICWBS) in February 2018. While in Cambridge, she is also seeking ordination from the Church of England.
