On August 8, the Y.E.S. kids began their day by making lunches for Wind Youth Services. They then distributed popsicles and water to the unhoused in Southside Park. Pastor Sarah dropped in to go over what it means to be a Matthew 25 church and how their mission day activities were furthering those goals. The kids also made peace leis and did some tidying up in the social hall. They ended their day at the annual Y.E.S. pool party, hosted by Betsy Eskridge and Lois Van Beers.
Many thanks to Julie Chew, Mieko Davis, Steve Lee, and Luyan Tang for helping the kids with the cooking and packing of lunches and for accompanying them to the park to distribute the popsicles and water.
